# Storage regions

We offer 8 regions globally distributed for storing the files of your transfers. Selecting a region that is close to you can speed up uploads and downloads up to 20 times.

When starting a new transfer, the nearest region is preselected, however you can overwrite the region in the transfer options. We engage you to change the region accordingly if you expect many downloads from another region.
